Hello!

If you are planning to visit Ireland in 2017 you are welcome to stay with us and have a holiday on our farm. You will learn about life on a working farm and learn skills such as baking soda bread, cooking Irish stew, animal husbandry, gardening and many other skills also. We can host visitors at any time during the year and we would be very happy to hear from you.

Our farm is a dairy and beef farm. The cows are out in the fields for most of the year and are housed during the winter months. We also have two dogs, one cat and we are currently working on creating a safe place for a few hens and ducks.

We are located in the sunny south east, in a very scenic and beautiful area just beneath a wooded hill and a ten minute cycle to the charming little town of New Ross. There are lovely walks through the woods to the top of the hill. Our location is central and it is very easy to catch a bus to visit other parts of the country. It is a 30 minute drive to both Wexford and Waterford, 45 minutes to Kilkenny, 40 minutes to the coast and a two hour bus journey to both Dublin and Cork. We can provide a bike and lifts to town if you wish to look around or catch a bus.

We are looking for volunteers who are happy to help with farm work, in the garden (weeding, planting flowers and vegetables, digging etc) fencing, tending to animals, some general maintenance and building work, tidying up and painting.

The work is very varied, rewarding, fun and includes helping with feeding the baby calves in the spring, bringing in the cows and helping with milking. Experience driving farm machinery, gardening, carpentry and stone wall building would be an advantage this year.

The weekends would be free to visit other parts of the country. The accommodation we offer you is comfortable and clean with its own bathroom. All meals are provided and our food is wholesome and freshly cooked. There is access to WIFI.

The atmosphere here is easy going and we always do our best to advise on the best tourist sights and places to visit. We will try to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible.

Good spoken English is necessary. Non smokers preferred.

Please have photographic ID with you.
