Hi!
We own and operate a mixed cattle and sheep ranch. The ranch practices Holistic management which means we believe in working with nature to raise ethical sustainable grass-fed beef.
We are located in southwestern Saskatchewan which is full of pioneer history and unique tourist attractions.
Upcoming projects: 2017
*Sheep shearing sometime in March/early April
*lambing season mid-April to mid-May. Work could include catching new born lambs for tagging and tail docking, feeding orphan lambs, watering and feeding ewes in pens
*Cattle for grazing arrive mid-May - mid-September
General projects include:
*fixing and maintaining fence
*mowing grass
*barn cleaning and painting

We move cattle every day and sheep every 1-3 days so lots of temporary fence to build!

If you come in April - June there are cattle brandings to go to. We like to attend several rodeos throughout the year

We have a few saddle horses for those that like to ride (or learn how to ride)

Note: as owners of this ranch we work long hours. 12 hour days in summer is not uncommom for us. We find lots of our helpers work with us on long days HOWEVER if you wish to only work 5 hours/day 5 days/week, that is perfectly fine with us! Be sure to discuss it with us. :)

Come and enjoy what the southwest has to offer, including fishing, golf, boating and seasonal hunting. The ranch has partnered with the Nature Conservatory of Canada and Nature Saskatchewan to provide habitat for endangered Birds such as the Burrowing Owl.

Thank you,
Larry & Liezel
