Awakening is a small eco retreat in the early stages of development situated in the beautiful Stara Planina mountains approx. - 1 hour from Sofia.
I am located in a small valley a 15 minute walk down a green lane from Malak Izvor village - Little Spring and close to Glozene Monastry.

I am a writer living here honouring the unity of all life including Gaia the planet Earth in as many choices as possible. who meditates regularily.(No life form is intentionally harmed here not even slugs or snails). My book Awakening - The Inevitable Door, is to be published early next year by a London publisher.

Here I collect rain water which is gravity fed into the kitchen and washing machine - a simple compost toilet is situated in my bedroom and in the cabin. I drink collected spring water / mineral water.
I have four beautiful rescue dogs.
Mains electricity in the kitchen only and plans to be 100% off grid in the future. Solar lights (rechargeable)are used in bedrooms and the volunteers cabin.

Volunteers can help with gardening using sustainable permaculture practices - creation and maintaining -
wood collection/ storage for winter use- recycling old window frames into seats etc -

Motivated volunteers are welcome from July 2017.
Musicians welcome. Non smokers preferred. Vegetarian / vegan diet.
