Come and join our family in a beautiful historic house on edge of picturesque Suffolk town. Own 'flat' WOULD IDEALLY SUIT COUPLE or friends - but single Helpexer OK - from mid November onwards.. 15th-18th century property with large garden in rural Suffolk (1.5 hours north of London) Looking for a couple or two or even three pals, happy to be self-reliant and self-catering in annex of main house; ideally but not necessarily carpenter/painter/gardeners: some skilled work, (carpentry, general building) some less skilled (painting and gardening). Family home with dog, cats, chickens and ducks. The property is on the edge of a historic and picturesque tiny market town with great facilities and some arts/music/pub life - and easy connection to London (via Diss 5 minutes away, London 1.3 hours by train) open countryside beyond. EXTRA paid work on offer for skills (carpentry and decorating) by negotiation on top of food allowance (80 per person per week or 100 if on own) this is in lieu of 'homestay' as the accommodation is semi-detached with kitchenette on site (right hand side of picture below) with 2 person twin bedroom, kitchenette (microwave and slow cooker etc) and bathroom of your own. Have had several very happy experiences recently with builder/gardener couples:pals or couples are best in that we are not able to 'look after' you or feed you - you have your own space and therefore this is not an ideal 'learn English' home stay.
