I have got two vans which are partly converted into campervans. I want to get both of them fitted out with more facilities. I would be interested in offering the van to someone for a period of time in return for doing some work on it. I have some tools, can buy some more and borrow others.
If you have any of the skills required and a bit of experience, have a look below and see if you think we can work out a deal.
There are two vans:
-Toyota Hiace Commuter. This one is in excellent condition. It is a 5 seater. Has aircon and stereo. It has a bed built into it. It also has lots of camping gear (sheets, doona, pillows, sleeping bags, tarps, gas stove, cutlery and cups and plates, eskys, camp chairs). I want to put flyscreen mesh and security mesh on at least two of the side windows. I would ultimately like to get the current bed taken out so it could be redesigned into two benches oppostie each other where people can sit at a table and at night it can become a bed. Also I would like to put in cupboards, a sink, a stove, an awning, a blanket storage space, a second battery, inverter and isolator, solar panels and some electrics (some LED lights wired in to run from second battery). I also need to install an anchor point so that I can use it with my daughter. I may want to install a custom seat in the back. And finally a fridge.
-Toyota Hiace Super Custom. 3 seater. This one is a very sweet drive, feels like driving a station wagon and is great around town. It's 1.9m high so you dont have to worry about taking it anywhere. Has aircon. It has been made into a camper using pallettes and has cupboards and the back section folds into a double bed. It has a double burner gas stove and gas bottle. it has a second battery with inverter and a powerboard so its all set to use for running your computer or charging your phone. It has solar panels folded up in the back which can be set up during the day to charge the second battery. I also have kitchen stuff, crockery, cutlery. I have a single swag and tent that could go with this too. What I want to get done to this van : flyscreen mesh on the windows, utlimately to rearrange the conversion so that it also has bench seats to sit on and can incorporate a fridge. Better housing for the second battery. Better electrics. Solar panels attached to the roof.
An awning, space for a fold up table and a better set up in general.
The third seat can be easily taken out.
