my name is shuang BAI. a chinese girl of 20, studying in Paris with a dream of being a professonal interpreter of three languages:chinese, english and french.I have been doing as a helper for one year and appreciate it a lot as a way meeting people and making friends.I'm now organizing a non profit team to prepare a video program of traditional chinese food:Eater in China.What inspired and motivated me to do this is after watching a tv programme made by CCTV( CHINA CENRAL TELEVISION):A bite of China,a documentary about traditional chinese food,here are the links from YOUTUBE:

I'm sorry that I can't find an english version,they are all in chinese, so it's exactly why I got the idea of filming our program and which makes it meaningful!
as a chinese who have had lived in China for 18 years,I don't even know that much delicious food and beautiful natural places,which gave me a immediate and great passion to experience them, record them,write them down,and share them with all over the world with language tools.on the other hand,as a chinese living in Paris,I found many chinese restaurants but just feel difficult to define them as typical chinese food,can you imagin how I feel to find the dumplings with the french cheese inside?lol...
This will be an english speaking program,which requests our hosts to be very fluent in English ,in general,we need 3 persons to host,2 chinese and an English native speaker( can't be better if you speak a little chinese !)if you're not an native speaker but very fluent in English,don't hesitate to join us!
Our team will travel many places in different regions in China each year from July to August(during my summer vacation each year),if you are not english native speaker and either very fluent in English,we also have other places for you ! cameraman ,photographer ,blog-maker,Make-up artist , Video Clips and post-processing people.or!you could become one of our sponsors if you want to do ad investment for your company.
The majority of our team will be chinese students,some of them are studying aborad,USA.UK.France,spain,Itly,etc...who will contribute a lot to our subtitle translation works, into different languages.
accommodation provided,delicious food guaranteed.OF COURSE ALL FOR FREE!!in addition, we have various amusement, like Karaok,yoga class....or go to Taian to climb the TAI mountain,one of the greatest mountain in China, not far from my place.We also have the travel plan to the seaside(qingdao),seafood party is waiting for you!
what matters the most is that you can always benifit a lot as a eaters to taste real and traditional food in it's original places!
ps:this year will be our first time filming,which will take place in QUFU ,the birthplace of Confucius in August.my hometown!
I'll drive to pick you up at the QUFU train station or Jining train station or jiaxiang aireport.WE have the direct train line form Beijing .please feel free to ask me any questions!
I'm now learning spanish ,if you're a spanish native speaker, welcome to be my spanish teacher and I'll provide you food and accomodation for exchange and you can also join in our program fliming.

Hello Shuang,
Nice to hear from you ;)
First thing we must tell you is that we are in Indonesia right now -
in Bali, in the progress of traveling we did not change the status -
from Japan to Indonesia.
But still - i would like to hear little bit more about all this, even
if we will not be able to go to China, anyway, it all sounds
interesting!
We are traveling, and now we are in a tight budget, so every bigger
move we need to rethink, like - tickets to China from here and then
back to Australia (AU is our next point of interest) .. and also - we
do not know what expenses we would have in China, airport transfers or
VISA for visiting China, ... we need visa i know for sure, i just do
not know specific info, maybe there are some special visa type if you
invite us, and so on ;)
So - what is the length of the whole project - how many people will be
involved in the high point of filming/project - how we all will move
from one place to another? Where do we stay, how many places do we
visit?
I checked the videos too, they look really good, also - introduction
is made quite professionally - that is beyond from my skills, you
know, i am more to edit the video, cut and put together, small clips
or bigger pieces of video, short films etc, but i am not good in
designing intros, designing titles and special effects. But that is
not always needed - ofcourse - there can be good film made with no
usage of special effects, it is possible ;)
Next - who will be filming, what type of camera will be used?
I am asking, because, while traveling i do not have my computer with
me, ofcourse i have my laptop, but that is not good for video editing,
we need some more powerful station for that! ;)
Oh, ok, so - let us know some answers and some more info, i already
wrote much :) sorry hehe,

I really appreciate that you have showed a great interest in the project that we are running now. It means a lot to everyone here in our team.
now,I'll answer you all the questions
As you know that China is a large country which has many regions, Provences, I live in Shandong provence, my city is Jining.not very far from our capital -Beijing. This is our first time filming which means we don't have much experience, but we all in passion and love for chinese food and culture.what's more, we want to show the world a real China.Our destination this time will be the cities in Shandong Provence .at lest 4 places ,we will film in restaurants,streets,anywhere the typical ,traditional food could be found.
About our team, it involves with about 10 persons working together, hosts,photographer,website editing,video editing...., of course, in fact ,all the participants will be much more than that.We have a car for 11 persons, we use very professional equipement and now are applying for a longtime supporting sponsor to cover all the expenditure including the flight tickets of our members from long distance places if possible.We are now trying on that. Why I'm trying to invite foreign friends from different countries and record in English ,trying to translate into different languages?Myself,I'm studying abroad and have been doing Helpx for already more than one year,I met friends from all over the world, I love sharing and giving,including the culture exchange.I would like to show the world our culture with the help and the vision of our friends coming from all over the world.
our fiming season will be from July to August every year which is in order to cater to the summer vacation.but this year is just in August, all month.
The links that I put in my profile is the program made by CCTV,We can not compare with them no matter in the equipement or financial supply at present, but ,we got one thing, that is what I'm always emphasizing: We aimes to show our culture to the world, not just restricted in China.
There are more and more companies running at chinese food are going to start their overseas business ,our program caters to their business goals,in this point,we have confidence to get the financial supply to continue this and become stronger.
