BECAUSE OF CHANGES WE ARE MAKING; WE ARE SORRY TO SAY WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE WORK/ACCOMMODATION IN THIS SPRING/SUMMER AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DO SO FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR (2013).

We are a family with a son, living in a beautiful old 8-hectare farm in the foothills of the central French Pyrenees. We all speak English and French, and some Spanish.

The owners (who are abroad for an extended period) converted the farm to B&B and Group accommodation and we are running and developing the place.

We are particularly looking for people who can help us continue to develop our organic vegetable garden - but also for people who can help us with lots of other tasks round the place (steps, paths, trenches, managing the woodland, fences etc). NOW LOOKING FOR HELP FROM LATE APRIL!!

For about 5 hours of work per day (time off at weekends) we will give you comfortable accommodation, all your meals, use of internet, plenty of French or English practice, and general use of all the facilities here. You will be part of the family, but your accommodation will be in the guest building (a converted stone barn - see second photo below).

As you will be sharing delicious dinners (and all too drinkable wine!) with our mostly French B&B clients, it is essential that anyone who comes will be considerate and respectful to our guests, who come here for the tranquility and natural beauty. If you love wildlife, you will adore this place (forests, mountains, orchids around the farm, black and green woodpeckers, nuthatches, owls, red kites, lammergeiers, genets, badgers, deer....!!!).

The photos below, in order: 1: The main farmhouse; 2: The Guest Accommodation (with main farmhouse on the left as the short bit of the L); 3: The Courtyard of the farm building - surrounded by trees and our meadows; 4: A winter view of the two mountains immediately opposite the farm, taken from the top of one our meadows; 5: The dining room in the guest accommodation - where we all eat: 6: A view from the left mountain in Photo 4 - it's about 3 hours walk from the farm - you get an amazing view of the high Pyrenees range. MAP: If you zoom into the LARGE GOOGLE MAP in Satellite view you will see the pointer right on the farmhouse!
