We are looking for a strong young man that likes gardening and may also have skills in building work such as decking, building sheds and out door kitchen.

Before applying to us please note that we have every helper on a weeks trial........we need helpers that are willing to work hard and not see us as a holiday home - however for those helpx helpers who are willing to work and see keeping the villa and their rooms clean and tidy as part of day to day life and not a duty will have an excellent and enjoyable stay with us. Work hard play hard is our moto!

A BIG BIG THANK YOU to all the helpers that have stayed with us in the past you have made such a difference to our lives!

We have enjoyed hosting youxxx

We are Steve and Liz and have lived in the South of France for eight years and we love it. I was brought up in NZ and then in London England. To make a living I rent our villa out in June,July,August & September and Steve works as a mechanic in a local garage. Steve is a big Rugby and F1 fan - in our new property in Burgundy we are very near Magny Cour race track and Steve makes regular visits there. We are a short walk into the town centre and there is a lot to do and see in this area.

It is one big play ground with every kind of sport available. It is a cool place to get a bit of peace and relaxation before you go onto your next major project.

It also has an amazing amount of history and there are lot of interesting and historic sites.

Our property is situated directly on the Canal du Nivernais and on the cycling walking lane.

Public transport here is really good and you can catch a bus or train from the Station at Cercy la Tour.

Anyone that comes to stay with us must like animals as we have 2 cats and 5 small friendly dogs. I only had one dog and Steve was given another and when we returned from holiday in NZ and Aus we found that our lovely new addition was pregnant and gave birth to eight puppies. I found it hard to part with them so we now have five dogs! The cats ... all French rescues.

We have a non smoking policy inside of the villa but you can smoke as much as you like on the terrace or in the garden.

I love to cook and you will enjoy some lovely meals - I am limited on veggy meals - but if that is what you like maybe you can teach me and I will get the ingredients! We also like Pan Asian food and often have curries and thai meals.

I am flexible on hours worked but as time flys here it may suit more to work two days and then have two days off or 3/3 as you would like..

We never work on Sunday's and have a BBQ on the terrace at lunch time which lasts all afternoon - or if you prefer you can do your own thing (nobody ever has).

We are offering full board accomodation .

We look forward to hearing from you.
