We took over this farm 3 years ago. The home is comfortable, but the barn and some of the land need a lot of work. We work without chemical fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, not even those allowed by organic standards. All animals spent most of the time outdoors. We have dairy goats, chicken, lamas and horses. We have started selling some vegetables, preserves, bread, eggs etc at local markets and / or through retailers. We do some of the work with our horses. We are right on the Richibucto River.
We are looking for helpers that are willing to put in an honest days work because they are interested in farming, nature and animals. We work six days a week. We offer 3 meals a day, a room, the possibility to ride on our horses, to canoe and bicycle, free internet access, possibly use of the car and naturally the chance to learn a lot. We are in a location that is close to beaches, dunes, provincial and national parks.
There is no TV on the property. Excessive alcohol and loud music are not allowed on the property, no smoking in the house and in the car. People with interest in animals and capable of using a hammer are preferred. We speak German and English.
