Ciao! Sei disponibile? Are you available for July/ August/ September? We need someone to help work in the garden with us; digging, hedge cutting, wood chopping etc. also carpentry projects. We are looking for a guy with experience / talent to help us with a project working in stone and cement and doing pointing work. We're looking for a resourceful person who also enjoys quiet time, and doesn't mind being alone. We would love to meet some people from Italy to exchange language skills and help us with Italian grammar and conversation. (but we welcome everyone :) Knowledge and experience with vegetable gardens is preferable and carpentry is helpful.
We have a small vegetable farm with 3 poly tunnels. We are a middle age couple, musicians. We have a large, 5 year old Newfoundland (Terranova) dog (lovable but strong) and a cat. We live in a quiet, somewhat isolated area. 2km from Timoleague, 5km from the beach, 9km from Clonakilty, 40 km from Cork city and Cork airport. We have a spare room with a view of the countryside. Our house is quirky and fun, so are we. :) This is a beautiful part of the country! We are passionate about cooking (especially Italian food). Please tell us if you have any animal or food allergies or special diet requirements. The work is as follows: maintain poly tunnels and outdoor beds, pulling weeds, harvesting, wood chopping, cleaning, along with cooking and kitchen help, dog care.
We don't have maid service....people clean as they go :-) Helpers must purchase their own alcohol, it is very expensive in Ireland! No smokers inside the house please. Ireland can be cold and rainy even in the warmer months. Remember to bring warm and waterproof clothing for working outside. Please send us your Skype details so we can chat. Speriamo di vederti presto! :-)
