Help needed on large well-established veg garden with poly tunnel, and with herb and seedling nursery business. We'd like to get organic certification, but have little time... so with some help to get everything done here we could start to get the paperwork done! We're looking for someone to stay a while who is enthusiastic about gardening and rural life and can happily work by themselves.
Jobs would be working on the veg patch, in the tunnel and green house and bench work potting on seedlings. Also, kitchen work, preparing veg for storage, cooking, making wines, herbal preparations, ointments etc. Always something different! We'd prefer someone who has some experience and knowledge that they'd like to share.
Accommodation is a large and comfortable camper van type space with kitchen. We'll supply all food (vegetarian and vegan, mostly from our patch) and cook some meals.
It's a very rural and peaceful setting, but there is a cafe/mini-market 3 mins walk away, weekly market 2km away and Tomar (a large town)is a 20min bus ride away. We can lend bicycles too.
I run classes and courses in Portuguese, and any guest would be able to attend a class/course for free.
