We are a middle aged couple running a country garage. Our kids are all grown up. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle, pigs, chicken and goat. Everything grows so fast in the Bay of Plenty, especially the weeds, so we always need help in our garden. We have two cats and two big, friendly dogs. We grow and eat our own meat. We need a mature, non-smoking, self-organised person, which is not a vegetarian to give us a hand with house and land. We have space for a single person.
We live close to the beach and also close to the Rotorua lakes and enjoy all the hobbies this area has to offer. Our home is on a 2ha lifestyle block, which also accommodates our business.
We have a small orchard with a variety of fruit trees, a vegetable garden and a big garden around the house with goldfish ponds and large lawns and lots of flowers. Our house is lovely warm, facing the sun and with a wood fire and a heat pump for cold winter nights. With all this we are always grateful for a pair of helping hands, be it in or around the house or in the garden or on any other projects like the new house for the Babe, the pig. If you enjoy fishing or swimming you are welcome to share the weekend with us on our boat on the lakes. We do a lot of cooking and baking and would love to try your cooking skills too. So whatever your skills are, with pots and pans, hammer and drills, sewing machine or shovel, they are welcome.

At the moment we would really need someone who is a gun at cleaning and weeding :-)
There is no public transport available to get to our place, but we can arrange pickup in Te Puke town.
