Our garden is used to illustrate good design and plantmanship to students who attend our garden design courses held in a sedum roofed pavilion in the garden. Thus we are looking for a single person or a couple who are keen GARDENERS to learn and work with plants and happy to help plant, maintain and label the flower garden and water the small plant nursery and help in the organic vegetable garden too. We are keen to get help from February through to September if possible and happy if people can stay 1, 2 or 3 weeks only or longer if you like us!!. We have started a new Bed and Breakfast in April so would like help with that too. We have chickens, 2cats and a dog. Although small the garden is veryy high maintenance and packed with unusual plants but with quirky design elements including several sculptures. The garden is open every Friday from Easter til the end of September and for charity 2 times during the summer. Please look at our website for pictures of the garden.
Helpers must speak good English, have a great sense of humour and be happy to stay with our young family in a quiet village 2 miles outside Bury St Edmunds, which has buses and trains to Cambridge which is 4o minutes drive.
We have had eight fantastic people through Help Exchange who we loved and are still in contact with them all.
We look forward to hearing from you.
