We are a small family run business founded by Siggi (Icelandic) in 2007, Klara (French) joined in 2011.
We have a touring kennel, operating year-round nearby Reykjavik, all our clients are foreigners.
We have about 60 sled dogs, mainly Greenlandic, few Siberians and are growing into Alaskans.

Dog sledding is not a job, it is a lifestyle. Where other jobs or volunteer positions end, our work has only just begun. Please understand that this position is not for everybody. We have seen countless applicants come and go, those who have succeeded have displayed an immeasurable passion for their work, an unyielding commitment to our four-legged crew and a willingness to learn and further develop their skills as guides.
Iceland is one of the most austere environs in the world. It is not uncommon to be uncomfortable. You will be cold, wet, tired, mentally fatigued, emotionally exhausted, hungry and miss the comforts of conventional living. Regardless, we are professional guides and we are expected to deliver uncompromising service to our dogs and guests despite our own discomfort. Understand that this is not a whimsical recruitment tool.
We are not trying to inspire a candidate to challenge themselves.
We are looking for applicants that have already displayed an ability to overcome adversity and are capable, competent, motivated, and willing to learn

You can help us with:
Feeding morning and evening
Cleaning the kennels, equipment and facilities
Greeting the guests
Assisting the guide to prepare the teams
Helping for takeoff/ come back
Grooming the dogs.
