Mino Valley Farm Sanctuary is a safe haven for rescued farm animals. We have goats, sheep, pigs, cats and dogs, with new additions arriving constantly!

We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about working with animals, holistic/ecological living, and organic gardening. We are both vegan and would love volunteers that have the same beliefs or are interested in experiencing and learning more about this lifestyle.

We are a young couple, and between working and running the sanctuary we need all the help we can get!

We need help clearing land, building animal houses and pens, planting and maintaining a large organic garden, working on sustainable building projects, and caring for our rescued farm animals. Much of our land is neglected and needs a lot of rejuvenating.

Set on 15 acres of land, situated in the breathtaking Galician valleys of Northern Spain, our site offers a unique opportunity for anyone wishing to experience a different way of life totally back to basics. Our site is tucked away in the countryside with the nearest shops a 10 minute drive (local buses run from a small village 35 mins walk away). Nearby there is also a beautiful waterfall and stunning river beach.

Accommodation is a charming small stone/wood dwelling completely off grid, which is perfect for singles and couples. Compost toilet and outside solar showers (or indoor bucket washes if the weather is bad!). We are looking for volunteers that can pay for their own food, although we are happy to meal share as well as share the contents of the garden, as all our funds are used to keep the sanctuary running and the animals happy!

We would love to hear what skills or talents you have to contribute. Whether it's working with animals, yoga, ecological building, woodworking, carpentry, holistic health, herbalism, handmade craft or anything else you can think of that may be valuable to our cause - let us know.

We are an English couple and speak a little Spanish.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you :)
