We have a B&B nestled in the mountains on the outskirts of Brisbane (30mins by car) and half way to the Gold Coast (also 30 mins by car away). Our home is set amongst 20 hectares of natural bushland and close to extensive bushwalk trails, yet we are only 10 minutes by car from a regional shopping centre, bus and rail transport to Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

We are actively involved in conservation efforts on our property as it is listed as having rare and endangered habitat. We also have over 75 species of birds formally identified here. In 2010 we established a private nature refuge with the state government over our property to protect it from future development and to enhance the environmental values.

Work generally involves planting, weeding, mulching, helping with housework and improving our property. Greeting and assisting guests and serving breakfasts.
Also feeding our horses, dogs, cat and hens,

Trevor had a stroke several years ago and enjoys talking with people although he finds this difficult at times. He also likes to be able to show volunteers what to do as he is unable to do it himself. Anyone with physiotherapy or speech therapy would be especially welcome

Accomodation is in a powered caravan with shared bathrooms facilities inside the house in the managers room.

Ideally we are looking for 1-2 people who are happy to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks and who enjoy peace and quiet and like to be amongst nature.
