We are looking for 2 people to join us for an immediate start. (Preferably a couple as the accommodation is a double bed!!).

We are a Wildlife Sanctuary dedicated to the rescue, release and rehabilitation of Australian Wildlife. We raise orphaned and injured wildlife and release them back to the wild. We are a dynamic family who aspires to the dream of self sufficiency and offers a unique experience to share close contact with wildlife. We embrace the opportunity to share our farm and enjoy a cultural exchange with our overseas guests.

Your responsibilities are varied. At this time we are needing help with...
Looking after our animals - chickens, ducks & geese
Assisting with our orphaned Wildlife - bottle feeding joeys and cleaning enclosures
Harvesting vegetables from our market garden and helping us with our Food Van Festivals
Help preparing our Farm Stay for our guests

You must be able to work independently, and have a genuine interest in animal husbandry, farm work and Wildlife.

We work for 6 hours per day, 1 day off per week in exchange for food and your own private accommodation. Organically grown meat, vegetables & herbs are supplied for your enjoyment. We also have a large salt water swimming pool for your enjoyment on those hot summer days..!

Your role here is very important to us, so if you do not take your work seriously, DO NOT APPLY.

In general.......We have a market garden which grows our vegetables, fruit trees and we breed and raise ducks and geese. We also have a variety of friendly farm animals.

We choose to grow our own meat (duck, chicken and lamb) as we protest all factory farming and would rather raise happy, healthy free-range animals so as not to contribute to the suffering of others.

The main role of our work exchange guests is to feed and care for our farm animals, assist with general farm maintenance, to help care for joeys and to maintain and tend to the market garden. Additional small farm jobs are seasonal, such as tree planting, mulching, seed sowing, tree netting and firewood gathering.

Your accommodation is a very comfortable, self contained cottage. You have access to a washing machine and also free internet (with limited upload/download). We live near surrounding rivers for you to swim during summer, as well as bush walking locations.

We expect a VERY HIGH STANDARD of attention toward looking after your accommodation. If you cannot maintain a high level of cleanliness and respect toward the amenities that we offer, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE WITHOUT NOTICE.
