We are very keen to get 2 more volunteers here starting October 15-November 15. Preferably a couple, but can be two friends traveling. Or it can be two individuals. We are getting ready to start our olive harvest and we expect a good year. Hard work, but really fun. With the benefit of experiencing the last ancient private olive press still in use on the island.

More generally, we need help with our 150 sheep, vegetable and fruit gardens, flower gardens, walls, fences, gates, and olive and carob trees. Construction experience is very helpful. Helpers will be working with our gardener and farmer who is Mallorquin but speaks perfect English. He is familiar with all the traditional ways of agriculture.

Our farm sits on 248 hectares (620 acres) in the Val de March in the northern part of the Tramontana range, recently . We are 300 meters above the valley floor with stunning views across to the Tramuntana range of mountain range. The farm offers great hiking, bird watching, solitude and incredible vistas. We are about 15 minutes by car from the town of Pollensa.

The farm has an original olive oil press that is still used the traditional way to produce some of oil from the olives on the finca (farm). We commercially bottle and sell our ecological olive oil in the local market.

Within the grounds of the property are numerous fruit trees producing figs, apricots, plums, grapes, peaches, pomegranates, persimmons, apples, pears, lemons and oranges. At the top of the farm is a large valley with arable fields.

We are in a beautiful tranquil setting. Helpers will need to be interested in nature and solitude. We must insist on non-smokers (very dry conditions) and limited alcohol use. Since helpers will be living in a part of our house, we also ask that helpers respect our privacy and are quiet at night. For security and safety, we take copies of your passport and proof of your health insurance. We have never had an accident, but we do this just in case.

Preference is given to volunteers that are over 23 years old and to couples or friends traveling together as you will be often on your own for cooking and keeping you space clean.

Please let us know if you are interested. Previous farm work experience and references are valuable, but not as important as a good attitude and a willingness to work hard and enjoy the incredible beauty.

Thank you!
