We are two sisters and a brother (36,34 and 28) in a former farm house with a big garden close to the city center of Hall in Tirol.
Hall is a small picturesque historic town, with lots of nice cafés and cool bars (actually just one ;-)). But Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol is just around the corner, reachable by bike, bus or train.
If you are a sporty person, the area has a lot to offer: there are tons of cablecars, tracks and paths for hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, etc. There are also opportunities for more laid back activities, like cultural, subcultural and sightseeing stuff. We can always provide good advice and suggestions!
About the Helpx activities: in the garden we grow small amounts of vegetables and fruit. This is mostly our mothers responsibility, and she is always very thankful for a helping hand.
At the moment the helpers work with us on our construction project, where we convert the old barn to apartments for the three of us. We try to do as much as possible by ourselves, and use mainly ecological materials like straw and clay. We found out that it is much more fun to work with those.
We are always flexible on the tasks and try to find interesting work for our helpers and there are no special skills required.
If you decide to come, you can either sleep in our self built caravan or have your own room in the house. You will share the flat with Tini, the youngest sister and probably some other helpers.
Emmanuel and Veronica live in different places still, they commute to Hall every day. So you can spend a lot of time with us, eating, drinking, working and hanging out so we are happy with open minded and easy going people.
We are flexible with the needs and wishes of everyone, but these are the basic conditions:
+ 5 hours working a day, 5 days a week (Saturday and Sunday off)
+ Own room, shared bathroom (with other helpers and Tini) and small kitchen
+ On workdays vegetarian lunch and coffee break
+ Breakfast and Dinner is sort of DIY but we will provide the food
+ Experience tells us that two weeks are nicer than a short visit, but of course you can also stay as long as you like
We recently created a simple website with some photos of the building project, if you are interested it is www.lendwirtschaft.at.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
The Schmölzis (Veronika, Emmanuel and Christina (Tini))
