We are an off the beaten track hostel nestled in the native rainforest adjoining Paparoa National Park, surrounded by rugged mountains and spectacular coastline.

There are some wonderful walking tracks and the awesome Pancake Rocks just 3km away.

Our hostel is a retreat away from all the hustle and bustle of traveling. We can sleep up to 53 people in its 9 different lodges and cottages, all connected together by little tracks through the forest. Come and experience the spectacular West Coast and help us out!

We are looking for a minimum stay of 3 weeks but would love to have you stay longer.

Your main duty will be cleaning the houses to a high standard for 4-5 hrs a day in return for free accommodation in our staff house, wonderful food also provided (vegetarian/mainly vegan) and the use of laundry facilities.

Other duties include baking (learn how to bake German style bread and muffins), cooking, track & building maintenance, composting, weeding, etc.

Enjoy cosy chats around the dinner table in our staff house and join our small friendly team to help us look after this spot in paradise for a while.

You must hold a Working Holiday Visa or Work Visa that allows you to work in New Zealand.

There is lots to do for your time off including spectacular coastline to explore, beautiful beaches, river walks, jade carving, knife making and kayaking close by.
After work relax ~ restore ~ explore.

We look forward to hearing from you!
