We are a family of four - a couple with two young boys (8 and 3 years old).
We decided to come and live in the "wild" for a couple of years now. We're off grid.
We love to be part of the community that welcomed us here. We respect them and work close by with them. We don't want to live apart from the locals.
Our place is a powerful corner of the Earth - mostly 5 ha of wild land (not much to do about it!).
We began to farm some of our food last year and we have animals around here - midget goats, chickens, ducks, two friendly dogs and a donkey.
We welcome friendly people to come and visit us and experience the kind of living we believe in - living in simplicity.

Our project is... a piece of land... a family... a simple living experience... a community living experience.

We live in a place for PEACE!

This year we plan to finish our eco guesthouse (made in superadobe and wood). We started it 2 years ago and now it's time to put an end to it.
We are also planning some workshops here, and other "public" activities, in subjects such as permaculture, gardening, shamanism and other interesting stuff.

We have just bought a caravan to welcome people to stay with us.
We have a wooden compost toilet in the place and, in summer, people will love to shower outside.
As soon as we finish the eco-guesthouse we will be able to offer different conditions - communal kitchen, a complete eco wc, and space to sleep in mattress or hamaca.

We are located very near Serra da Estrela, the most magical mountain range in Portugal, where Portugal reaches it's highest altitude... 2000 meters!!!!
The view from here is stunning.
We don't expect to be so demanding with the volunteers staying with us (expect 4 to 5 hours of practical work a day).
As for food we may not be able to cook for volunteers every meal but, of course, we will provide all the necessary ingredients for a vegetarian healthy diet.
The place is a bit off the action, with the village at about 1,5 km and the near "village-town" at about 8 km.
In summer, we usually go for a dip in Mondego river nearby, every day! It's hot in here!
On weekends we love to go around and camp in the mountains, do picnics with neighbour friends, and so on ...
We have kids, so... fun is allways present (and patient is sometimes needed!!)
