Djinadon association is located in Uddebo which is an intresting growing village with alternative people and artists coming together and creating. Our association wants to build a space and platform where exploration of art and music can take place. One of our projects is an apprentice project, aiming to give students who want to have a deeper understanding of the djembe music a possibility to focus on playing for a longer period of time.

Djinadon has an old school, Konst & Trummelurhuset, and another house, Stjärnebo. Both are being renovated for our purpose and projects. There is also a garden which we would like to grow vegetables and herbs for in the future, in order to be selfsuficient. The garden is right now just about to be born.

We believe in organic and sustainable lifestyle. Therefore, and moneywise, we use mostly recycled materials for building. The garden and the farming will of course be all organic as well.

We are looking for people with building experience and people that likes to cook for volenteers and during courses also for the participants. But we are also looking for persons who are willing to help and learn. It can be a great way of learning for example how to construct, build and renovate old houses with old building techniques or other things that has to be done around a cultural community house.

We are also looking for long time volenteers who would like to stay here for a longer period and also take responsibility with leading project and other wwoofers work.

You will sleep approximately 1-6 persons in the same room, depending on how many volunteers we have at the same time.

We are open for recieving volenteers all year round. Please tell us a bit of whom you are, what intrests and eventually experience you have.
If you send a request please also send a personal mail.
For long time wwoofers we can only guarentee a try-period of around two weeks to see that everything goes well together.

It is important that you have a positive mindset, you are honest, independent, industrious and willing to learn and help.

If you come with kids and children you would probably need to bring your own housing (campingwagon or tent). Food is giving the ones who works.

Hope to see you!
With love,
Djinadon

We are about 40km south of Borås. Uddebo is easily accessed by train and buses.

By train:
You can book a train ticket through the homepage: www.sj.se
The closest train station is Limmared, connected to both Göteborg, Malmö and Stockholm. From the train station you can take a “train-taxi” which will pick you up from the train station and drive you to our door, the price for this is 38 kr, and the taxis can be booked by calling +46 (0)325 77010. Its good if you book the taxi some hours in advance.

By bus:
The regional public transport will take you all the way to Uddebo from Göteborg, Borås or anywhere else in Västra Götaland. You can take a bus from Göteborg Nils Ericson terminal all the way to Uddebo, it will take about 2 hours. You find all bus schedules on the homepage: www.vasttrafik.se

By air:
The closest airport is Landvetter (Göteborg).
From the airport you can either travel in to Göteborg central and from there take a bus or train to Uddebo. Or you can travel by bus from the airport to Uddebo (which is more convenient if there are matching buses when you arrive). Schedule for buses can be found at: www.vasttrafik.se . When doing so, enter “Landvetter flygplats” as “from” and “Uddebo” as the station you are travelling to.
