# You WILL NEED to have your own vehicle & supply your own food.

*** Very relaxed 'workload' and lots of time to see the local area. The 'work' equates to an hour and a half most days, and up to 3 - 4 hours or so every now and then - depending on weather and what is happening at the time. Its flexible - and as long as horses are fed and watered - everything else can be worked around. (Hence you needing to supply your own food for the most part)

We are located at Wallacedale, which is in South West Victoria, not too far from Mount Gambier (South Australia), Hamilton (Vic), the Southern Grampians, Warrnambool, Portland, Naracoorte etc.... all within a couple of hours at most from here.

We would love to host one or two friends travelling together or a couple - and would love to have you be 'part of the family' for your stay here :D

Duties here include but are not limited to:

- CURRENT NEEDS: Mowing, Weeding, Fencing (easy to do and can teach you if you havent done it before), General property tidy up and help sorting through of stuff.

We have horses, a donkey, dogs and cats - all of whom need to be fed which doesnt take long - usually half an hour to an hour each day depending on what is happening and what their current needs are.

- Some preparation of meals (We love trying food from different countries - so if you are good at cooking and want to show off your skills - that would be awesome!) and a bit of a tidy up in the house would be required - basically - clean up after yourselves and keep the communal areas neat and tidy - (kitchen, dining room, lounge, bathroom, laundry etc...) We are not neat freaks, but if anyone knocks on the door we dont want to be cringing at the thought of inviting them in.

My health is sadly not what it should be, so I am really only good at supervising - and sometimes not even that - read the 'In a NutShell' page on my website for further information. My carer/housemate and her teenage daughter are here and are awesome, friendly and always up for a chat. The teenager is also learning Italian at school - so if you speak that language - its an advantage but not essential :D

Loads to see around the local area (Caves with Stalagmites and Stalactites, Sink Holes, The river, the beach, the Blue Lake, Waterfalls, The Grampians etc) within a half hour to a couple of hours from home, as well as being able to take you to the Great Ocean Road/Tree walk stuff if you are here long enough and its on your list of stuff to do. Mandy (housemate and carer) is happy to take you exploring a bit :D

Accommodation is provided, its basic, but comfy... You will have a large caravan to yourself with a double bed, electricity, wifi etc... No Smoking inside, but outside is fine. I can loan you a laptop (slow but works) to watch movies on etc if you like in the van - or we have the main tv in the house with free to air tv and we have a huge selection of movies as well.

*** You will be required to provide your own food and luxury items.

***NO Shellfish in the house though as I am highly allergic! No mushrooms to be prepared on same surfaces as shared food - also allergic to them. - some other allergies too but those are the major ones that require really looking out for**

Full use of kitchen, lounge room, bathroom, laundry (washer/dryer), the usual :D

Bathroom has a shower with pretty good water pressure and good heat in the water!

Your own vehicle IS needed as we are 8km from the nearest pub - and 30km from the nearest grocery store, bakery, fuel, pharmacy etc....41 to nearest place for decent shopping and junk food if you require.

I have had some wonderful helpers already in the last two years and feel privileged to have met the wonderful young ladies and gents from France, Germany, America and England.

If you want to improve your English, have a good laugh, then get in touch :D If worried about the language barrier - we have google translate :D (Sometimes pictionary is better! lol)

Apologies that we cant provide more than the accommodation - we have loads of fresh air, laughs, and good company though. And seriously - the workload is sooooooo relaxed and theres NO 'must start by X time' - and we dont generally do early mornings.... lol
