Willkommen im Weidenzentrum!

The Willow Centre is located between Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven near the North Sea. Besides me Susanne lives here who also assists me on the farm.We work 6 hours a day and 5 days per week.It depends on what is goiong on with the workshops and seminars...

I grow about 200 different kinds of willows which I am using in workshops, creating everything from small baskets to living fences and arbours. Apart from the willows I run workshops in felting. Customers are varied from kindergarten groups, children´s birthdays and students to teachers who come for further training.

Some days you have to work alone with plants and soil and other days there is social competence needed for helping in workshops, markets and exhibitions.

These are the main tasks at the moment: weeding in the vegetable garden as well as in the willow plantation. From November on main tasks will be to harvest, sort and bundel the willows.

If you like to make music there is an old piano and a guitar to be played. Every other week people come for circle singing where you can join in, too.
In your free time you can also take a bike and visit the North Sea, or just lay down under a willow tree and relax!

When you call please use the answer machine so that I can ring you back. Don´t forget to make sure that your phone works in Germany.

I can pick you up from the train station Dorum (Weserm.)
