Hello Traveller!
We are not currently seeking helpers. We will update our page when we are able to provide work and accommodation.

We're located in Endeavour Inlet, right on the 70km Queen Charlotte Track/Te Araroa Trail, in Marlborough, where there are no roads, no cars. If you enjoy nature and relative isolation, you'll love our slice of paradise. We are surrounded by native forest and pristine bays. You can arrive via water taxi (departing from Picton) or walk the Track to reach us. Once you're here you'll have free meals and accommodation during your stay.

Our preference is for a mature, independent individual, prepared to work 4 hrs with us in the morning, and share cooking the evening meals. The rest of the day is yours to explore the surroundings. You can borrow one of our kayaks or just relax. You will have your own bedroom either in the house with access to wifi, or a separate sleep out with composting loo. We have a small organic garden and much of our meat is also organic (locally caught venison and pork).

We support the local Endeavour Inlet Conservation Trust - see the Facebook page link for more info. If you're interested, we'll happily share our knowledge of the local plants and animals. At the moment we have little blue penguins nesting in the bay. The Department of Conservation has just given us some penguin houses, so one of our tasks is to load them into the boat and set them up along the coast.

We look forward to getting an email from you - tell us a bit about you and why you'd like to visit. We host helpers for 5-7 days.
