We are a kiwi farming family with the 5th generation just arrived. Our farm consists of sheep, beef, cropping and a small amount of forestry.

I have wwoofed in the USA and now that I have returned home, I get to host! There is not a definite set of skills that we are looking for, we will make use of your skills, whatever they are.
We will however need help from some with arborist/forestry skills from September 2015 on to help prune/tidy up some old oak trees.

If you like the outdoors, have an interest in farming, appreciate nature, enjoy photography, like to eat healthy, enjoy socialising then this is a fantastic place to visit! We are all about working hard and playing harder!
We are into our snow skiing during winter and all types of boating and waterskiing during the summer and you will a always be welcome to come along.
We are a creative/artistic family (photography, all types of painting) I design and craft my own furnature.

You will be staying with me (Adam) in the original old homestead, my parents live in a new house close by, my brother and his family live on the other side of the farm
The old house has just been repaired from earthquake damage. It has 4 bedrooms so you will have your own room. Wifi is limited but good enough for emails and Skype.

I can pick you up from Christchurch. Length of stay is negotiable.

If we sound like we are right for you, get in touch.

Daily tasks include:
Feeding Pigs, Dogs, Chickens, and whatever else there is to feed.

Maintaining the vegetable garden, planting, watering and harvesting

Coming up in the Spring there is going to be some sheep work.

We have a wide selection of fruit trees; apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, plums, blackcurrents, cherries and grapes. Usually a bit of thinning and harvesting when in season.
