Hi, we welcome single people couples or friends and usually have 3 volunteers at a time.
Please note many of our helpers return each year.
Our present availability is outdoor help ie gardening fencing diy washing horse boxes chopping wood etc (may suit a guy more than a girl! But happy for either) for April May September.
In April and May we also need a general helper on farm usual farm stuff and B and B stuff and animals.
Please check our calendar for availability.
From mid March we will be rearing baby emus and baby rheas.

We prefer helpers to stay a minimum of a month and welcome long stayers. Our animals are pets and it takes time to learn the routine. Our minimum stay is 4 weeks.
Happy easy going farm, plenty of pets/animals.
Jobs include helping repair fences, tidying barns, repairing things like wheelbarrow tyres, gardening, chopping logs, we also need help in our bed and breakfast getting rooms ready and so on plus general
Help in the farmhouse cleaning tidying ironing.
We also love to hear from anyone good with animals and/or good horse riders.

We live on a lovely farm 25 miles north of London, our family consists of 3 of us at home now, the older children live in London.
My son age 16 he is a very keen Carp Fisherman and does fishing competitions he loves to fish and enjoys overnight camping by the lakes.
The Farm has pet animals, 4 horses (including 2 top show horses), 2 big dogs, 2 alpacas, 2 emus, pig, sheep, Rhea's, owls, meerkats many hens, peacocks, cats, turkeys and ducks. We breed emus and Rhea's as a hobby.
We offer you accommodation, we have a nice room in the house you can have access to the kitchen, gym, lounges bathroom, TV room, use of the laundry room, you can use mountain bikes as we have beautiful cycle routes and have full use of our fully equipped gym. We provide you with full board in exchange for 5 /6 hours a day, 5 days a week. We obviously have wifi.

Happy to host single or couples or two friends
Horses are competition horses, you are welcome to ride well schooled horses but MUST have riding knowledge, horse riding is optional.
The work around the farm is general. Looking after all our animals is top of the list ! And then the general day to day running of the farm like cleaning out the animals, gardening, housework in the farmhouse, outdoor work such as strimming weeds, fence painting etc.,
We have completed renovating one of our barns into a bed and breakfast place so help with guests and cleaning may be needed.
We also have a horsebox hire company which you can help with.
We are a friendly easy going family who are looking for that type of person/people. Must enjoy working outdoor life and love animals. Chance to ride top quality horses and groom at horse shows or visit London to view the sites! Obviously caring for animals is not just about cuddling and feeding them. Dogs need a bath, emus love a shower, birds and stables all need cleaning and sweeping. Our home is a 600 year old farmhouse sitting on its own land, cleaning and tidying / laundry is all part of the job here.
For our horses, we have a round pen, stables, a Menage and plenty of lovely riding. I am a horse fanatic!
