We just started a mobile eco-village project on a squatted ruin and are open to all who want to help build eco-friendly installations and be part of the little community we've gotten together. We don't do "free food for so many working hours". We love to see people motivate themselves and we try to supply the materials needed. The adults here do speak english, but this is not the place to learn english.
The motivation of the project is to get people closer to nature and show how we can live in a way that is not at the cost of earth.
People who are continuously part of the project are my family : me, Heeltsje (my girlfriend), our daughter Sien 10 years old, our son Borre who is 6, Roan and Lian. Further we have friends coming over often.
I, Erik, am an eco-artist and build installations that run on different energy sources. Examples at
For this project we'd like to have help building a helofytenfilter (waterfilter with reeds), a clay oven, making plantbeds... etc
Heeltsje gives permaculture courses.
For accomodation we can offer caravans, treehuts, army tents and a dome. There's a compost toilet, solar shower and a communal kitchen tent.
As a helpx-er you're part of the community. We'd like you to be innovative and able to motivate yourself to do things.
Wageningen is a international student town with a small city center. Public transport is right around the corner, you can walk to town or take a bicycle.
