****We are looking for an experienced, happy, dynamic person (or couple) to carry a project transforming a little barn into a living space for Violette and her 3 children****
(Carpentry, roofing and cob building skills needed) You will have lots of support and also many helping hands from the collective and additional Help x-ers, friends and neighbors. The works already started. Plenty of opportunity for lovely moments; music making, dancing, swimming, breathtaking walks and horse riding or whatever takes your fancy
Also, we are looking for someone to help out with the children, giving 4 hours per day 5 days a week, it would be a lovely experience for someone who loves nature who would like to experience community life and has a good rapport with children, please call for more info
Please phone as we do not have internet access. 0561681930. Please keep trying EVEN if you have left a message, messages sometimes get lost.
We are a small community of 6 adults and 5 children living on an intimate, wild piece of land at the Pyrenees footsteps, in Ariege. Bouguet is 9 hectares with a stream and cascade (waterfall) which is heavenly to plunge into in summer.
Bouguet is not at all luxurious. But if you enjoy living very close to nature and don't mind living basically then you will enjoy the beauty and simplicity and good heart here.

If you want to socialise, learn French, fall in love, there is always plenty going on that you can join in with; lively local markets, village fetes, concerts and ‘Bal Trad’ or if you want to go for walks in nature, write your book or meditate, you will find support and encouragement.
There is an amazing amount of communities and collectives and people in this area living in interesting, simple and alternative ways.

Musicians most welcome, families with children by arrangement.

You can also learn here (as we are learning...) about wild edible plants, beekeeping and nature in general.

We're a vegetarian, drug free community (that means no alcohol, no 'spliffs'. (Cigarette smokers have a special tree that they can go smoke under although I suspect that Thiabault and Piotr smoke roll ups in their caravan/bender, but hey) and we aim to live simple, healthy lifestyles, while enjoying social, cultural exchanges and remaining open to the world.

Hope to hear from you soon!

In the photos you will see a'Chantier Collective' on the Maison Collective, the structure of Lizzie and Stephanes house (you will see a 'Bell Tent' in the foreground, we have 2 Bell tents and a caravan to accommodate helpers). Last picture Pema and Zachary in the bath.
