* GET A WELL PAID FARM JOB- RIGHT NOW!
The season started slowly due to the warm weather. Many people left without a job. In a week or so there will be many jobs and very few backpackers waiting meaning the opportunities are good IF you are in Gayndah. This is the right time to arrive in Gayndah south east Qld.
You can secure a perfect place to stay (my homes) and organize to get one of best jobs going for the remainder of the Harvest season..
*** DO YOU HAVE A REAL INTEREST IN GROWING YOUR OWN FOOD?
I would like someone who has a real interest in growing food and who wants a happy safe and quiet place to relax.
**** GET YOUR 88 DAYS IN GAYNDAH.
Definitely ONE OF THE BEST TOWNS FOR WELL PAID FARM WORK in Australia. The Citrus Harvest includes mandarins, oranges, lemons and there is also avocados, garlic, figs and blueberries, mangoes. So much variety
***** HOW TO GET HERE (no car)
Catch a bus or train to Gympie from Brisbane and I can pick you up if you are going to stay a while; coming here from the north? Get out at Childers on the Bruce Hwy and I pick u up
######## HOW TO GET WORK
I HELP wwoofers/helpxers FIND WELL PAID WORK.
When you have secured a farm job you stop helping and you rent in my home for a modest price as a tenant. Happy open minded people welcome
PLEASE NOTE: My home is NOT A FARM.
Looking for happy friendly easy going quite rural life? the peace of a very small country town with enough pubs and shops and an alternative lifestyle away from the hectic ‘East Coast backpacker trail’? My home is for you!
This is a small personal project NOT A FARM
Situated on the banks of the Burnett River in a quiet and private space yet in a VERY handy part of the town with good accommodation and views and loads of fresh vegetables available from garden to plate!my home and the atmosphere is unique
I have recently moved towards Aquaponics (fish growing in tanks providing nutrients for vegetables - more organic than 'organic'),maybe some Permaculture and Soil Biology workshops, involving hands on natural food growing to provide fresh food for the home, the pickers and packers who live here during the harvest season and any helpxers/wwoofers.
I AM A WWOOF AUSTRALIA - REGISTERED HOST - QR201
Please see current Wwoof Australia book
FREE WIFI/LAUNDRY/FOOD/ACCOMMODATION in exchange for about 4 hours a day, light work. SEE THE REVIEWS. After all it is helpX, NOT workX or slaveX!
***** WHAT HELP DO I NEED? The work which has to be done now is building more garden beds, cultivating seedlings, watering, digging, planting, making new soil (composting), looking after a small batch of hens and general jobs around the property and helping keep my homes clean and tidy.I have a small border collie pup who needs a walk each day! and chickens.
FREE TIME: You get plenty of time to yourself. The accommodation is good, the location in town on the river edge is the best and our evening meals are usually had together which creates a friendly safe atmosphere.
