G'day dear helpx-Members

My name is Michael. I am the owner of a hotel/motel in Quorn.

Quorn is located 334km north of Adelaide, 40km from Port Augusta and the capital of the Flinders Ranges. The population is approximately 1,300 mainly consisting of farmers, miners, shearers, transport and tour operators.

The Hotel was established in 1880 and is popular amongst the locals as well as visitors. Currently I have 7 staff members, all of them female and between the age of 16 and 37.
The Pub is open 7 days a week and serves tasty country style food 3 evenings a week. Our Hotel guests consist of overseas and Australian Tourists. Completed recently, our beer garden is a relaxing area to have a quiet drink with friends,or cook your own B.B.Q.(barbeque packs provided). We are coming up to the busy tourist season so any help by HelpX members would be appreciated, there are various everyday tasks that need to be done and doesn't involve any heavy lifting etc.

We are looking for open-minded, enthusiastic, friendly travelers who would like to work in HOSPITALITY. There are many different tasks to choose from, e.g. maintenance, building, cleaning, kitchen work, and many more. There are no skills required. And for an average of 4 hours work per day you get a room to yourself, tasty meals and a great country crowd. We are not too strict about working hours and you will have your days off, to experience the Flinders Ranges, too. There is a Public Library in town, where you can get free Internet access. In the hotel, there is a lounge with television and books. I also have two dogs (Bundy and Shandi) that would love to be taken for a walk every now and then.

So, if you feel like getting some insight into a country town at the border to the Outback of South Australia, don't hesitate to send us an email or call us.

We are looking forward to meeting you,
Michael and my team and Bundy & Shandi

How to get here by Coach/Bus:
Premier Stateliner (08 8642 5055) runs a 7 day passenger service from Adelaide. We will pick you up at the Bus stop in Port Augusta.
