Are you looking for somewhere to park your caravan in the quiet for a week, a month or longer in return for odd jobs? We are on a rural property, 1 hour West of Gympie, 1 hour North of Kingaroy with a nice atmosphere where you can park your van and enjoy the countryside.
There are two options for camping/volunteering at our Properties.
We have a second property about 10km away from home property where you can set up your caravan either in the shed or near shed. Shed has solar electricity and gas hot water, toilet, shower and kitchen sink.
Jobs at this property could include straining/repairing fences, tiding up around shed, picking up sticks/flood debris off Lucerne paddock, checking water for cattle and putting out lick.
At this property all we ask is for approximately 10 hours work per week as you need to provide your own food.
Our home property has a shed fully lined with cemented verandah area, inside shed there is three rooms one has a kitchen sink, one a bedroom and the bathroom with, shower, toilet and laundry tub, shed is connected to electricity. You could park near this shed hook into the power and use the shed as you wish.
Jobs at this property could include straining fences, helping move electric fences for cattle, making lick, all things involved with everyday running of a farm. We would love to establish a vegetable garden and grass around house instead of stones so if gardening is more for you then the farm that is okay. The work is quite varied as we are a cattle and Lucerne property which is still recovering from the Floods in January 2013 and now in Drought. There are so many things that could be done on our farms there is something to suit everyone. Thanks for reading this. All the best.
