Our eco-village association has a horizontal relation to community. Consensus decision-making is the model we use. We are looking for transmission of knowledge and experience from abroad.

We are looking for volunteers who can stay for at least a week. Volunteers will assist with building, gardening and cooking. Working is done on a voluntary basis so you can be lazy sometimes :) If you don't want to work then you don't have to but we do expect volunteers to share the workload.

In the spring and summer time we work on our forest garden project. There is always something to do in the garden. Also we also brew su keferi and make ash water.

In the fall, we harvest vegetables and fruits and make preserves and jam. After the rains, we collect mushrooms from the forest. We are also busy getting ready for winter – insulating the house and chopping wood.

In the winter, there isn’t much outdoor work and there is a lot of snow. We do not take any volunteers during the winter and we usually stop checking the messages so if you don't hear back from us it means we are probably not available.

If you don't want to be a part of building work, you can help us around the house with cleaning, cooking activities for 4 hours a day.

Currently, six of our members live in the village (five human one cat), generally other members join the events during the weekends and occasionally weekdays.

There is no smoking in the house, but you are welcome to smoke on the balcony outside. There are no rules about phone use, alcoholic beverages, etc. We just expect you to not throw your inorganic waste onto the land. It will be the best if you take your stuff with you when you leave. Pasli (the cat) is living with us. You can bring your child and/or pet if you want, they are all welcome :)

The local shop is 7km away from the village but we will provide food so you don't need to worry about that.

You can reach our village from Istanbul. The nearest town to our village is Pamukova. You can take a bus with Buzlu Turizm to Pamukova. Or if you want to travel with another bus company you can get off in Sakarya, and then take a local bus to Pamukova. You can also come by train with TCDD. The train stop where you get off is in Sakarya and is called Arifiye. From there you can catch a local bus to Pamukova. Sometimes we have friends coming from Istanbul that you can travel with. The cost of travelling is around 10€. When you get to Pamukova you will need to take taxi to get Kadi Koyu here and it costs 30 TL. We normally go to Pamukova every Wednesday and we can pick you up from there but we ask that you contribute for gasoline.

If you want to join us please contact us and provide your full name, date of arrival, and how long you plan to stay as far in advance as you can.
