We live in a beautiful forest only 30km from Brisbane. We live within Brisbane Forest Park and are very close to several beautiful bush walks and only an hour's drive from the golden beaches of the Sunshine Coast. It is a bird lovers' paradise, and we have lots of wildlife including wallabies visiting regularly. Mount Nebo is always a few degrees cooler than Brisbane, so it is a great escape from the heat of the city. We also have a swimming pool which you are welcome to use.

We have a small orchard and vegetable garden and some chickens but mostly lots of forest. There will be lots of weeding and mulching both in orchard and vege garden but also work in the forest as we are trying to clear away all introduced species. The work will be two hours per day for accommodation only (not meals although we will occasionally share meals). You can do the work on any days you like for example four hours one day and the next day off.

We have a caravan for you in the forest fitted out with a deck and a roof. You will have your own private bathroom, laundry and cooking facilities. It is well suited for a couple or two singles who are mature, independent and who appreciate a bit of privacy. While the sleeping quarters are within the caravan, the living area is open and best suited to the warmer months, September to May where minimum temperature is around 15-20 degrees at night. We prefer helpers to stay for a minimum of one week. It is the Australian bush so if you are afraid of wildlife and bugs, this might not be the right place for you!

We are a very easy going couple, well travelled, musicians and we know lots about our local flora and fauna. There is no public transport to Mount Nebo, however we travel down the mountain at least three times per week and can take you to the train station or the bus.
