2 houses joined together, one is my home (currently shared with a German friend), the other is for airbnb guests on short term stays. All are surrounded by a largish varied garden with organic vegetable planters as well as wildlife meadow, fruit trees, camomile lawn, wildlife pond and mini woodland etc.
I am retired but play guitar and still do some photography. The house is a mile from Killyleagh, a small historic town dominated by Ireland's largest privately owned castle. Good public transport to and from Belfast (18 miles) from Crossgar, 5 miles away (can drive you there). I need help to do some specific projects in the garden summer 2017 if the right kind of person came along - you would need to be strong and sensitive to plants.
The projects are varied, making a fire pit, clearing overgrown paths, repairing/rebuilding raised beds. But I also need general help painting and weeding.
The house is quirky, full of unusual art and decor created by my late wife and I. Ideally would suit someone who really appreciates gardens and being outside most of the time. Your accommodation is in my side of the house in nice ground floor bedroom with good internet (wired). 4-5 hours work a day if possible. Shared bathroom, meals vegetarian mainly organic, would prefer someone who is happy to cook and do alternate days, you will find a lot of inspiration, peace and learning while here. Sorry no smokers.
