We are going to finalize the interior construction and design in a small former village shop.

Chores: wood work, plastering walls, making floors, a few square meters of gardening, and ... well, needs to be done occasionally ... cleaning.

As you can see on the pictures, some rooms have already been done, while some rooms wait to be finished. Living quality is already good in terms of taking a shower, using a clean bathroom, which might be a hassle in other alternative projects.

The house is rather small, but there is a lot of space in and around the village, so claustrophobia shouldn't be a problem;-)

The project is good for short-term guests - a few weeks would be ok.

The village is at the end of an asphalt road, very close to nature. Village is lifefull (for a village). Of 116 inhabitants 16 are children. There is a village pub.
The village is 5 km from Walddrehna railway station, 90 km south of Berlin (1,5 hours by regional train). Bicycles available.
There are also several buses per day (weekdays only) out of the village, but the connection is slower than cycling+train.
Can be a perfect combination for a helper who wants to be close to Berlin, and at the same time deep in nature.
Party night in Berlin is possible: return by train 6 am in the morning;-)

Project is coordinated by an anthropologist in his 30s. Most visitors and friends are in their 20s and 30s. Other ages welcome.

Helpers should be culturally conscious. Village is in a very rural area. People are more friendly than average in Germany. The German spoken here has not too much accent (yet some), so living in this village can help improving language skills. There is a permaculture farmstead a few houses away.
