At our farm, we try to live sustainably and minimise our impact on the earth. This means we grow a lot of our food, don't use poisons and eat seasonally.

As you'll notice if you come and visit, we try to repurpose, recycle and reuse as much as we can. We hate waste and the thought of perfectly serviceable items ending up in land fill!

We have always grown fruit and vegetables and have over 80 nut and fruit trees on the property. We have several bee hives, which help our fruit to pollinate and provide us with delicious honey. We also have many olive trees which we use for pickling and for oil.

We don't use poisons on our crops, which are irrigated using rainwater collected in our dam. Whilst we're not certified organic, we can't see the point of using poisons on food that we'll eat or allowing it to end up in our ground water.

We run our tractor on biodiesel, made from discarded restaurant oils.

We are currently building our sustainable café restaurant and you can keep up with all our antics through our Facebook page.

We need a bit of help to get it all finished as well as carrying out the farm chores.

A lot has been done already as you can see from Facebook but there is still a lot to do. We prefer to accept people with building or farming skills first and foremost but please contact us if you have other skills that might be useful.

Our schedule will dictate our booking requirements and is subject to change. We occasionally need to change bookings at short notice and apologise if you're affected in advance.

Right now it's all about getting everything done - join us, get in and start doing work straight away. Come for a visit to see what we're all about. We're always looking for people to lend a hand and you may learn some interesting new skills along the way.

You will be helping us out for 6 hours a day, 6 days a week. We'll provide you with delicious and nutritious meals. Note that we are not vegetarian and there is no smoking anywhere on the property.

Because of the changing nature of work on the farm, we can only accept bookings up to 30 days in advance. So, for example, from July 1 bookings open for August 1st to August 31st.

Please email us for more information.
