SEEKING A Fun, Energetic and Motivated helper for a minimum stay of 2 weeks from Mid March.
Our property is idyllically situated high on a hill overlooking the Noosa Hinterland and out to North Shore and the coast up to Rainbow Beach. We enjoy mostly warm sunny days with stunning sunsets followed by balmy evenings and nights.
We seek to turn what is already a piece of paradise into a truly private, unique and extraordinary space.
We invite those who wish to share our journey of creating a property that is - self-sustainable; environmentally sympathetic; aesthetically pleasing and reflects the ethos of caring for land, flora, fauna and country.
We are a non-discriminatory couple and invite people of all nationalities, religions and genders to help achieve our vision for our home. We hope that the experiences we can offer people from all walks of life will enrich and help them grow in their lives. In turn we hope that the languages, cultures, world views and life experiences of those who fully embrace this opportunity will enrich our lives - helping us to become more knowledgable, wiser and well rounded people.
The work required on our property is extensive and varied.
An overview of jobs includes:
-Weeding and mulching (need it be said on an organic farm!)
- Garden design and planting
- Building animal enclosures
- Animal husbandry
- General gardening including fruit and vegetable planting and picking
- Maintenance work around the home
- Building of walls/stairs/pathways etc (primarily out of rocks)
- Creek building and restoration
- Rainforest revegetation
- Tree house construction
Those willing to participate in our vision need not be qualified in any particular field. However, enthusiasm, hard work and a willingness to participate in daily life and cultural exchange are a MUST as is a love for animals.
In return for helping us achieve our dream you will be provided with your own double bedroom and bathroom. There are 3 meals provided per day - vegetarian or vegan and gluten free. There is always a fruit and vegetable and nuts and biscuit bowl on the bench for in-between snacks.
There is Internet - we discourage extensive and prolonged use of such however.
There is a piano and guitar and for those musically inclined.
There is an extensive library of books, music and movies for you to read/listen to/watch. There are board games, kayaks, surf boards and SUPs for you to enjoy once the work for the day has been done.
We are approximately a 30 minute drive to Noosa and can take you there some weekends.
We enjoy a wide range of leisure activities and invite you to join us Bush Walking, surfing, SUPing, kayaking, 4wdriving, yoga, picnicing.
We are non-smokers and Do Not use drugs. We do enjoy a couple of drinks after a hard days work.
We ask that you are non-smoking, clean, tidy and respectful of us, our animals, our home, the environment and the rules we have in place so that all parties can grow and prosper from this exchange.
Please note that due to health and bio-security all helpers MUST have arrived in Australia at least 10 days prior to arrival at this property.
