We are blessed to live, work and play on 100 beautiful acres of field, forest and maple bush in the Kawartha Lakes region (35 minutes west of Peterborough, 20 minutes east of Lindsay). Our intergenerational (ages from 5-70) crew consists of permanent farmers, full-season interns, revolving work-traders and whoever happens to be around!

We grow 7 acres of vegetables using organic methods for ourselves, our CSA and 2 markets. Four beautiful and proud draft horses lend us their strength and prowess for tilling and hauling. Around here you'll find all creatures great and small- in addition to the working horses we keep a a herd of cattle, a drove of pigs, 2 flocks of laying hens, 3 ponies, 2 elderly horses, some runner ducks and a barn cat or two. All of the creatures here are raised lovingly and organically.

We welcome short or medium term helpXers. HelpXers will mostly assist us with seeding, transplanting, weeding and harvesting vegetables as well as preparing them for CSA and market. Other work may include fencing, canning, childcare, firewood and animal chores. Someone with horse experience may help with horses (those who are interested and are without experience may or may not get a chance to work with the horses- let us know if it is something you are excited about.) It is also expected that cooking and cleaning is shared equally among interns and work-traders.

We are a high-energy social bunch- we love to chat and sing while we work, pile in a car to head to the pond and cool off at the end of the day and enjoy eachothers' company in the evening.
