UPDATE: Volunteer week 18-25 March 2018
Join us in the woods for a week of team spirit

Hi hardy campers!
We are an off-grid Eco campsite set in a beautiful woodland in rural East Sussex. (For more info on who we are see below.)

Are you tired of being stuck indoors, eager for spring to arrive and ready for a woodland experience? Then look no further.
For this year's set-up we are getting together a small team of energetic volunteers. The fun will begin on 18/3/2018, and will last for one week.
The task is getting our woodland campsite ready for the first guests. It's hands-on and requires a mix of abilities including building, painting, gardening, general maintenance, cleaning, cooking, inventing, improvising, a sense of humour etc. We will work 25h.
For us this is all about living and working together and enjoying the team spirit. We will share meals, stories and skills, and hopefully learn a lot from each other.
Accommodation will be basic, in your own 4m belltent. There are compost toilets and outdoor showers (no fear, there is hot water).
We will be outdoors a lot and it could be cold and wet, so come prepared! Personally we love this time of year but the weather can be challenging for some. The campsite will still be closed so we'll have the 600 acres of woodland all to ourselves.
We will feed you well. We buy organic and eat a wholesome nutrient dense diet. (Our cooking facilities are basic, too, so unfortunately we can't provide for special dietary requirements.)
If this sounds like a piece of you, write to us and tell us who you are and why you think you're right for this.

And here some more info about us:
The site: This position is ideal for nature lovers! Our beautiful off-grid campsite is located in a 600 acre woodland in East Sussex in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a low noise, family-oriented place and no cars are allowed into the campsite. We have 'bring-your-own' tent pitches and glamping belltents each tucked into its own glade. We offer the closest thing to wild camping, with the added luxury of basic facilities. There is mains drinking water and running hot water, but no electricity. And, of course, lots of trees.
Several pubs, a cafe, post office and convenience store are in walking distance (30-45 mins). The historic town of Battle (for supermarkets, public library with Internet access, cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as Battle Abbey) is only 2 miles away. In your time off we recommed you explore the vast woodland and beaches nearby, or just relax on site.

Your hosts:We are a small and friendly company with an interest in sustainability and creating a nice working environment. Your main point of contact will be the on-site Wardens. We are Lawrence and Theresa, and we have been running the site for four years. We love living an outdoor livestyle and meeting like-minded people. Lawrence is a musician and Theresa is training to be a permaculture teacher. We have both had great experiences volunteering ourselves and have hosted some wonderful volunteers.
