Anyone fancy coming to stay in the woods? We are a very busy family and have been welcoming HelpXers into our home for about five years now. You would need to help out around the house and the garden that we just don't seem to have much time for at the moment.

There is a lot else to do such as some maintenance and building projects (compost loo and refurbishing and old goods wagon) plus firewood chopping and generally helping out around the place. Our garden needs quite a bit of work to be productive and we would really, like someone experienced in this area to take control and work fairly autonomously ,

A little bit about us, we live in a 100 acre organic woodland, on the edge of Salisbury Plain, 15 mins from Stonehenge and the rather more exciting Avebury (part of the same World Heritage Site as Stonehenge but somewhat older) is 25 mins away. The historic city of Bath is 45 mins and there are easy raillinks to us from Salisbury or Westbury or you can get to us by coach via London to Devizes, our local town. Oh, and a lot of you guys appreciate the fact that Lacock (where Harry Potter is filmed: Hogwarts Castle Courtyard and Hogsmead) a beuatiful village owned by the National Trust which was founded in 1322 AD, is 25 mins away.

John is a fab cook as you may be able to tell from our feedback, we have two boys who are 11 and 12 and also shatwofer lives with two small dogs and chickens.

John and I organise street markets and events throughout the county, run pop up shops and I also work on a urban regeneration project, hence needing someone who is willing to take a bit more control of the veg patch.

There is just one word of warning, we are not connected to the grid so charging phones, laptops etc is something that needs to be planned for. The accomodation for Summer helpers is a tent in the veg patch, offering some privacy from family life. It is very cosy for a couple and much better suited to single people.

After all that, I hope if you have read this far, you will think about getting in touch and we look forward to hearing from you.
