Looking for independent active travellers that enjoy the outdoors and are motivated morning people, we start early.

Welcome we love meeting travellers and have travelled extensively ourselves.

Our farm is 23kms/30mins north of New Plymouth at Huirangi. There is no public transport, bikes are available. We don't go in to town often so having your own transport would be an advantage. Though we can pick you up on arrival and drop you back into town when you leave. We enjoy taking you out and about to explore the area and do some hiking too, it will depend on our workload and how long you are staying. Prefer you to stay at least one week.

At the farm we live in a shed (one room) so the accommodation is in our campervan (see photo's). Toilet & hot shower is outside. Though the accommodation is basic, the view is wonderful. It is a beautiful place. We will provide good meals.

We try to be good hosts and in return we expect you to join us in our daily activities and help with the work on the farm (approx 28 hours work a week). We enjoy our guests company and sharing our beautiful Taranaki.

Current projects:
Stacking firewood, propagating plants, planting & weeding, mowing grass, painting & building glass house.

We have cattle, calves, chickens & ducks to care for. Jo-anne propagates and sells permaculture plants.

Of course if you have other skills to share we would be happy to use them :) so please let us know what skills you have. Happy to share our skills with you too and keen for you to learn how to establish your own organic garden.

Whatever you do though don't miss Taranaki it is the best of New Zealand!!! Surfing, beaches, mountains, hiking/tramping, music & art this is the place to be! Check out
