We are an intentional community of about 50 people (adults and children) living in separate self-contained units within a Georgian manor house, stable block and cottages on 40 acres of land. We work the farm co-operatively with the aim of producing a substantial part of our food including meat, milk, eggs, fruit and vegetables.

Land includes 20 acres of pasture, 8 acres arable, 2 acre walled vegetable garden, greenhouse and polytunnels, orchard, a small area of woodland and a lake and garden. We have dairy cows, goats and sheep as well as hens, bees and pets. You may be working on just about any job on the farm: with the animals, gardening or on the grounds and buildings.

We generally host up to 3 volunteers for a fortnight at a time.

Accommodation is in a shared room with adjoining galley kitchen and shower room.

We provide food for you to self- cater most meals. We have a communal meal every Saturday evening.

We accept volunteers from the end of March through to November for a full two weeks. We ask for up to 6 hours work per day with 2 days off each week.

We are in a rural area, seven miles from the nearest town...if you don't have your own transport we can usually sort out lifts into town on days off.
