Sunny 15 acre block 1hr south of Auckland. We are using permaculture principles to turn it into an organic market garden to feed ourselves, family and friends. All surplus will be sold at the local market. We have 2 friendly jack russel terriers. The property overlooks the Glenbrook vintage railway and the black sand beach is 12km away. We also offer training in horticulture and work with a number of the local schools.

There is always plenty to do on a small farm and your contribution will make a huge difference. You will work 6 hours a day for 5 days and then have 2 days free to relax and explore. We prefer a minimum of 2 weeks. Non-smokers only.

Safety is very important for us so we will not ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with or use equipment you are not familiar with. We are happy to train you if you want.

We offer free unlimited wifi but the speed may not be what you are used to!

Its good if you have your own transport as we are 6km from Waiuku and 12km from Pukekohe and there is no public transport.

About us: Rory has worked in IT and is full time on the farm. Jennifer is an environmental consultant currently assisting Auckland Council with a number of eco projects. She is part-time on the farm.

Please only contact us if you have some relevant farming experience or are keen to learn about permaculture, organic farming, or bio-dynamics. This needs to be mentioned in your message or you will be marked as spam (of which we get too much).

Also you will need your sunhat, work clothes, and raincoat.
