Do you fancy doing a help exchange with 3 countries on your doorstep, a national park surrounding?

We have a fantastic new and exciting project that we are undertaking. A new guest house/hostel reconstruction we will start undertaking from February, and we need all hands on deck for the initial work!

Its an 18th century building that has been quite neglected. So our first job is to strip it out completely; that means plaster off the walls, mud from the ceilings, the roof tiles off (when the weather gets better) the garden dug out also, some rubbish cleared.....quite a bit of work!

We need 3-4 people who are happy to work with power tools chipping away the old plaster, moving it in buckets.

Its hard work so we will be supplying the beer and food plus, we don't mind giving pocket money of 50 euros a week for your own savings/to go on activities in the region. You are living on the boarder of Germany, Czech Republic and Poland so you have 3 countries to choose from. A car can be provided if you have a licence; bike transport and trains are available. The train to Prague, the capital city of czech republic, runs from Hradek; the train to Berlin, leipzig or Dresden from Zittau and Wroclaw and Warsaw from Zgorlec. When he weather gets better there are 2 clear swimming lakes in walking/cycling distance from the house. there are castles, a steam train, climbing rocks, tennis courts, a natural spa bath and an opera house here!

In the house there is a 3 room apartment that is to be shared by the guests. there is a load of furnishing there from the previous owner so you can set it up to your taste. Internet and electric is on, so no problem there.

We expect a minimum of 30 hours a week work, as per the helpx principle of 5 hours a day 6 days a week. You can divide that as you like, if you would prefer to 'get it out the way' and then have more off time, or pace it slowly we dont really mind. All I ask is that when you are working, you are WORKING. This is why I'd rather pay pocket money than ask for free help, because in my opinion im paying you for the job with money/food and accommodation and therefore, I can expect a decent standard and pace of work.

For this initial work its a HARD job. Be under no illusion. This is a demolition job with power tools, moving heavy buckets or rubble, digging mud.....not looking for people who are expecting o sit around and do nothing; I'm a retired Army officer with 2 tours of iraq behind me and I am very direct when it comes to expressing my displeasure if I feel a higher percentage of effort could be put into something.

The area is amazing and this is why my fiancée and I have decided to settle here. You have everything; good people, inexpensive living, nature, access to cities, activities and sports.... perhaps we can persuade you to stay on a long term basis and start some business in the area, I'd love to help people with that!

So if you are interested please get in touch and I would love to welcome you on the team. We will be starting work at the end of February.
