After a long winter break we are now ready to welcome new people, and are happy to hear from anyone who would like to stay with us and help for a bit from April 2017 onwards.

I live with my partner Richard and my daughter Julia (21, who is away travelling at the moment), our cat and dog in the small city of Hereford. We are friendly, open-minded and outgoing and enjoy meeting new people.

We are currently in the process of clearing the garden and building a traditional shed, and would like some help with this (one of the photos actually shows the last bit of the old shed being taken down).
Right now we are preparing for the foundations to be put down.

There are also some jobs around the house such as painting (inside and outside),clearing and painting the guttering (if you have got no fear of heights and like ladders), chopping wood (there is a chainsaw if you are familiar with using one), bike maintenance, as well as some general gardening (it is only a small garden , though). Indoor jobs include some sewing if that is something you enjoy, painting, cooking and some cleaning. There may also be the opportunity to babysit for our friend's two young children if this is something you enjoy.

In exchange for accommodation and meals, we would like approx 4-5 hours' work per day, with plenty of time off,too :), which can be organised flexibly according to our respective needs.

Hereford is a small traditional country town with a cathedral (one of the photos is taken from the top of the Cathedral tower), and there are lots of beautiful country walks very close by. You could borrow a bike, if you like cycling, and there are buses and trains to the nearby towns.

It would be good if you could stay for at least 1 week. You would have your own small room in the house, and a shared bathroom, and I can help you with your English if you are trying to learn the language.

We speak English and German, and also a bit of Spanish,French and Italian.

We look forward to meeting you!
