We are an older couple with a grown family who enjoy meeting people from other christian cultures. Christine loves to chat and Keith is a more reserved personality, but also enjoys a good conversation over a glass of wine. We have accomodation for 1-4 people. It's quite a rustic environment. Chris enjoys gardening and preserving from the extensive veggie garden and fruit trees. You'll find her relaxing with a book and a glass of wine many evenings. Keith is a mechanical engineer and loves to tinker with all sorts. His interests include folk music, singing, playing guitar, and aviation.

We are Rural and are 20 minutes drive from most local attractions (Mt Maunganui white sand surf beach or forest/tramping mainly.) and city centre. One hour drive to Hamilton and Rotorua for attractions in those towns also. There is no public transport to our home so you must have a vehicle and drivers license.

We have no pets/animals except 40 or so laying hens.

It's expected work for accomodation would be 2 hours per each nights stay, per person. It would be property maintainance and heavy gardening, over several acres. (digging holes, weeding, scrub cutting, planting, spraying etc.) You will be expected to provide your own food and do your own cooking. (nearest supermarket/fast food places are 10 mins drive to Greerton.) Facilities can vary and could be a large caravan or a 1 bedroom cottage.

During the wetter months is would be good if you had your own rain coat/sturdy boots for the outdoor jobs. The dry months are Jan/feb/March/mostly april too. After that it starts getting more unpredictable. The bay of plenty is predominently a moderate climate.
