Hello Folks!
Here I introduce you our place: we're a group of 4 friends who decided to move into the bush in order to live along with Nature's rhythms and to have the opportunity to fulfill our dream to be self-sustainable as much as we can.
We just moved in this new place where we live in the buildings surrounding an old church, in a magical valley where the silence reigns located 80km from both Firenze and Bologna. We're working in our project to increase the production of our veggie garden and fruit field, we're also trying to improve our water collection and in general designing our surroundings using our permaculture knowledge.
The main tasks here will be collecting firewood, clearing the bush, putting up fences preparing the land transplanting and constructing; for this coming summer we have few main projects along many other small ones: to build a Pizza oven to paint the house and to make a house for the chickens!
We can give you a room and you can share with us the meals in order to taste our traditional cuisine, we make our own fresh pasta and bakery!
This in exchange of a hand in our multiple jobs of the newborn farm!
We can start with a week stay and see if we get along each other in order to extend it for longer.
We are musicians and we love to be playing all day, you're more than welcome to come along and jam with us, every now and then friends from the city come and join us in order to give a hand and play some gigs.
The house is a starting point for many tracks that will bring you deep in the forest, through abandoned villages and up for breathtaking sights.
We often have to go down to the nearest city (Faenza) so we are well connected if you need to go buy something or if you want to have a look at the area.
Closeby there is an astronomic observatory with open nights every second week from spring to autumn where you can get some good knowledge of the nightsky since here is very special :)
Some of us are travelers too so we speak English and a little bit of French, we love to keep meeting new people with stories to share and songs to sing.
Feel free to write an e-mail for any extra infos take in count that it could take a litle while for us to reply because we have no internet up here and there is poor phone network, but be sure you will find some better connections :) have a great day!
Aho!
