I retired when I was 49 years old after 30 years service driving trains for the NSW Government. I have a vehicle, trailer, all house painting and maintenance gear. I don't drink or smoke. Have been around Australia 3 times, volunteering on many farms. Between travelling, house sitting or sailing on my 11 metre yacht, I live for about 3 months a year in a caravan in a bush camp on a friends 56 acres of forest / farm behind Fraser Island, When travelling I follow the weather, when it gets too humid in Qld I go South, any time from mid October and when getting cooler around March, it's back to Qld for the winter. I get inspirations for writing stories of humour, travel, dramas and farms I have been to. I have had 15 stories published in Australian magazines, also have 5OO,OOO words written of my autobiography and another 2OO stories to be edited and sold, hint hint!
WHERE ARE ALL THE FEMALES THAT WANT TO WORK WHILST TRAVELLING?
As a host, a rough guess, have hosted over 3OOO
this is not a misprint, three thousand backpackers / travellers, on the yacht or when travelling with me in all States. I can set up no dig - no weeding vegetable gardens, I like all animals, wide open or isolated places, music festivals, boating, GOLD detecting, painting houses, op shops. I'm back in Qld until the end of October then heading South again to the Snowy Mountains and coastal from Narooma to The great Ocean Road again.

From: France,
Colin is a good person, very humourus, I am at this moment with him at a host on a farm, painting and waterblasting. After 5th of March we go through the Snowy Mountains for a few days at Corryong for an interesting time of horses, music and story telling around a campfire. Colin knows all Australia and the best free spots to camp and travel. He has quiet times but breaks out into humour quickly. We are to go on the yacht at the end of March and if you near Brisbane contact. Colin.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
I have known Colin since September 2010 when he joined the Yass Valley Men's Shed of which I was Secretary at the time.
I have stayed in touch with Colin over the intervening years, both when he comes back to Yass regularly and also by email and phone in between times.
I had occasion to be overseas on business for 6 weeks during October and November in 2011 during which time Colin looked after my property and also completely painted the exterior.
He excelled in both tasks and I have no hesitation in recommending him on both counts he does a great job! I am aware of him performing similar tasks for other property owners to their total satisfaction.
I have no reservations concerning his honesty, his attention to instruction, his ability to decide on issues that arise and for which he may not have specific instruction.
I will be pleased to provide more information by phone, by email or other medium if requested.
Sincerely
Wayne Stuart.

Colin is with us at present. He is so keen to work and is busy every day painting our donga, our shed and shipping containers. He has a great sense of humour and has some funny tales to tell. We are enjoying having him here and are reaping the benefits of his enthusiasm. We hope he comes back next time he goes north.
