We grow food all year long, raise poultry, we have horses.
We have a veggie garden and we harvest wild food.

We live near the Camino de Santiago, there is an international community of pilgrims always visiting.
Our organization #Agrogay uses A Casa do Río as its headquarters. We support organic farming and visibility for LGBTIQ people in rural areas.

We run art, dance, agriculture and natural horsemanship wokshops, markets and music events.

We provide food & accommodation. We're asking for help with basic house and farm maintenance, gardening, taking care of animals, cleaning.
Only thing we ask is: be able to work unsupervised! Know volunteer comes from volo-, -tatis, something like "the will" to do something. Willing to help means also helping yourself.

Not great mobile reception, depending on mobile operator.

Beautiful walks and sightseeing.
Vegetarian food, yoga, dance. You can learn about traditional culture.

IMPORTANT: From October it will be easier for us to host volunteers who travel with their own accomodation (caravan, van etc) because there is only one single bedroom for you guys and it might be occupied, and it's not advised to sleep in a tent in autumn-winter (unless you're really brave!)
